Our feline is currently on 1 unit twice a day on the pen. It has been recommended to move to 1U in the morning and .5U in evening. You cannot dial up a .5U on the pen, so what options do I have? Her graph via Freestyle Libre 2 sensor indicates she sits between 3.8 and 7 mmol.

Do you think you could setup a spreadsheet and add the data into it so we could see please?
Also if you could set up your signature which will tell us about your kitty, that would be helpful.
You will find the information how to do this in this link help us help you
If you have any trouble setting up the spreadsheet we will help you…just ask.
Do you have a hypo kit set up?

I don’t know who told you to give 1 unit in the morning and 1/2 at night but lantus like consistency.
You would be much better to give 0.75 units both night and morning. That is the same amount over the period of the day but given in even amounts and would be much better for your kitty.

To give doses in between full units you will need to buy U100 3/10 6 or 8 mm 30 or 31 gauge insulin syringes with 1/2 unit markings. You can get them from Walmart if you live in the US. There are other brands if you live elsewhere.

I see you live in Australia so you won’t be able to get the syringes from Walmart. But you can get BD ultra fine U100 3/10 6 or 8 mm 30 or 31 gauge insulin syringes at a pharmacy to sells diabetic supplies or online. You can’t but 1/2 unit syringes in Australia but you can buy them from the UK.
You will find information about where to buy the syringes and other useful info in this link

Here is Penny's 14 day graph. It is very difficult to export data from the Android app, so all I can do is join up all the graphs from the app.

Sorry @Vicpug, the graph is too small to read. We use a spreadsheet here to look at numbers. If you could download a few weeks of the raw data from the Libre and enter them on the spreadsheet on this link that @Bron and Sheba (GA) provided to you, that would be more helpful to us: https://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/new-how-you-can-help-us-help-you.216696/

If you look at my signature below this comment, you will see all sorts of information about my diabetic cat, Ruby, as well as a link to a spreadsheet. This is what we are referring to. There are many experienced Lantus users here, and what we will look for are the trends and how low the dose of Lantus is taking Penny. We have dosing protocols that can help you, but first we need more information filled out in your signature and spreadsheet data. An introductory post would also be helpful, with a little more about you and Penny's health history.

It is actually impossible from the Libre Android APP to extract(export) data whi ch you could put into a spreadsheet. A real problem with the app. I will need to do this manually (pain). Patience. In the interim I will try to add some larger graphs. Soon.

This is the information we need for your signature
Make sure your signature is up-to-date.
  • On the left, under Settings, Click on Signature. This is where you will put information that helps us give you feedback. There is a limit of two lines which may include two links; you may separate pieces with commas, dashes, | etc. This is where you paste the link for your spreadsheet, once it is set up.
  • Add info we need to help you:
    • Caregiver & kitty's name
    • DX: Date
    • Name of Insulin (do not include dose or frequency)
    • Name of your meter
    • Diet: "LC wet" or "dry food" or "combo"
    • Dosing: TR or SLGS or Custom (if applicable)
    • DKA or other recent health issue (if applicable)
    • Acro, IAA, or Cushings (if applicable)
    • Spreadsheet link. Please put the signature link on the bottom line of your signature information, on its own, so it is easy to find.
    • Please do not put any information about your location in the signature for security reasons. If you wish to add your country location, please add it to your profile.
Be sure to click the 'Save Changes' button at the bottom. If you need help urgently it is important we know these things at a glance. We don’t want to waste valuable time finding out information.

Tap on your name above you will see a drop down, tap on signature , give us the information about Penny and then it save

The graphs attachment is readable but thereis no number or even tic marks on the y (BG axis).

Have you went to the Libreview website to view and download the data?
You can download it as a CSV (Comma Separated Variable) fie that will open up in a spreadsheet. Here is what it looks like.

Damn annoying that you cannot export the raw data from the Freestyle Librelink App on Android phone. Only screenshots and pictures. They say that on their website.
"You can share screenshots of the reports that are available through the FreeStyle LibreLink app*, but not the raw data that was used to produce the reports."
