Hope everyone is ok.

I checked the two Canadian pharmacies I used to buy Lantus from, and they no longer sell it.

Ay suggestions?

Thanks!

Natalia

Hi Natalia, Nice to see you again,

There is a recent Canadian law (about a year old now) that specifies that medications that need refrigeration can no longer be shipped abroad by Canadian online pharmacies. There is a long-running thread on the Health Forum dealing with this situation. http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=49608

I believe that if you go to the Lantus website you can get a $25. coupon good for an initial purchase. Otherwise, rather than shelling out all that money for a box of 5 pens, you might be able to find a pharmacy in your area that will sell single pens (hospital pharmacies will often do this, since they break the box of 5 to use a pen on hospital patients). It is still a lot of money. Most of the Lantus users here have found that Costco has the best prices. You don't have to be a member to purchase from the Costco pharmacy.

Of course, you can always take a vacation in Canada and bring back some Lantus. (you don't need a prescription to purchase insulin in most of the Canadian provinces; but be careful at the border!).

Hope this helps,

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Hi stranger :-D
It's nice to see you.

If I do a search for Lantus or Levemir from CanadianDrugsOnline.com I get your search returned no results, but since I am a returning customer I am allowed to refill my prescription. Have you ordered from the canadian pharmacies before?

I bought insulin from this company in April of this year.

http://www.77canadapharmacy.com/

They offer insulins from different countries of manufacture for different prices.

I bought Levemir pens (Turkish) and they are working just fine.

Allow 2 to 4 weeks. Mine arrived in a nice insulated box about 3 weeks after I ordered it.
