lantus/lev and power outage

Hope its ok to post and ask here since it may be a time sensitive manner and health is slow.

Power has been out for maybe 1.5hrs due to snow storm. I still have some of lattes insulin in the fridge. How long might it be ok before it is compromised?

I can bring it to amy/winstons if need be. Don't want to jump the gun let alone drive in this stuff today.

The important thing is to keep the refrigerator door closed. This is from a food safety site.
Keep the refrigerator and freezer doors closed as much as possible to maintain the cold temperature. The refrigerator will keep food safely cold for about 4 hours if it is unopened

I also know that I have left a cartridge out at room temp for 12 hours with no immediate effect. Or how about snow as free ice cubes? A cooler filled w/ the snow w/ the Lantus on top. Easy to keep refilling if the outage continues.
 
If I could only find my cooler! It was a perch for latte to look out one of the windows. As I cleaned up and started making this place a space for me I moved it....hopefully not in the garbage.

You don't think it would freeze?

And sienne...wish it was that easy. Aside from being swamped w/ work and computer problems (soon to have a new one), I am reminded of that huge hole in my heart each time I visit. Sometimes I can tolerate it. Other times it is too overwhelming and I need to step away. Jeeeeesh...now I'm crying. Blah! :sad:

Now I have to go find that cooler and take care of her insulin....

I think that if you wrapped the insulin up in something like a wash cloth or dish towel and put it in a plastic bag it shouldn't freeze in the cooler.

Now....you said SNOW!!! OMG, I am so not ready for that!!! I can't believe that you already have snow!!! I hope you stay safe, sound and warm in your home..
