Im moving!!!! Im trying to get rid of anything I no longer need.
For some reason the insulin and fluids have been hardest to get out of my possession. Now I really need to do it. Fluids were donated to shelter, as they were going to expire in a few months. Last I looked I think insulin expires in 2012. I believe I have 2-3 vials each of levemir and lantus.

Its means a lot that this insulin goes to someone w/ financial need and gives a great deal of care to their kitty. Please do not let ego get in the way if you need it. If you are having a hard time financially and could use some help, send me a PM. I cast no judgement! :mrgreen: I would not have it to give if it were not for the generosity of this board when Latte was with me.

I have no problem sending it to DCIN, who helped fund raise for this insulin. If I do not get any requests in the next week or so I will send it off to Venita smothered in love. I just wanted to check with 'family' first, in case someone would find a bit of relief. Also note, I will pay for shipping. Latte has a small 'memorial fund' to cover costs like this. Its really not a problem!

I have parted with pretty much all medical supplies. If I come across anything while packing (medical/non medical) which I can part with, I will let you all know.

Lantus is gone. I just checked and have a few levemir pens.

Not moving far. Still in the city, but as far from downtown as possible. My back yard is a beautiful lake (if it were not for the garage and house behind me :roll: :roll: ). Im 2 blocks from a wonderful trail following endless miles of a creek, and a famous Minnesota waterfall. It will be a hop, skip and a jump from my day job (literally). More open, bright, and cheery. My move will likely be a few days after Latte's 1yr anniversary. I will admit Im starting to struggle a bit with letting go of the last place Latte and I shared, the balcony, her memorial garden, even the piano! But, its time to move on.

It sounds like a really nice place you to moving to. And don't worry, you memories of Latte will be with you always.

Your new place sounds wonderful. How great that you'll be able to walk out your door and be so near to the hiking trail! And you'll be able to start a new memorial garden for Latte. She'll be there too, you know.

Congrats on the new place, Carolyn!! I too am in the middle of moving and have struggled a bit with leaving where Miss Jezebelle spent her last 5 years.

And then, about a week and a half ago, she came to me in a dream, enjoying the backyard, rolling around in the dirt on the patio... I think it was her way of assuring me that she'd always be with Willie and I. I've ordered a beautiful Egyptian cat statue urn where she will rest on our fireplace mantle, part of our family forever.

Sienne is right... you'll be blessed with her presence soon!
