So, in my other post I talked about the fructosamine issues.

Here's the thing, I'm diabetic. I can technically get a prescription for myself for the libre 14 day sensor (though I'd have to pay for the meter or borrow my sons phone as mine isn't compatible for the app)- and just use if for Marley and continue using my personal glucometer for myself. I still have a glucometer for Marley too but it's been almost impossible to get readings. Could there be any trouble with this? I mean I could get my vet to write my prescription for Libre- but not turn it in- and just use the one from my endo w/the savings card. I feel somewhat bad about this but when I remind myself how much pharma robs us blind, then I don't.

Lantus would be tricky since I'm not on insulin anymore, I"m on meds only. So Canadian pharmacies may be my only bet to find it somewhat cheaper right? It seems as if there are too many denials if I fill in the lantus card w/my cat info due to vets not have NPI's? Or has that changed? I wish they would make it more accessible for people and their pets.

Not really. I'm sure the company has better things to do with their time than to chase down every person who asks for the free meter to make sure they actually used it on themselves...LOL I've heard several others using the free "sample" for their cats.

If you use Mark's, it's $190(including shipping) for a 5 pack of pens which is enough to last most cats at least 1 year and some up to 2 years. Info - Buying insulin from Canada | Feline Diabetes Message Board - FDMB

It hasn't changed, unfortunately.
