no matter the am/pm shot times, there is bound to be once or twice a month when one will not be home to give at that exact time. what do u do if u will be leaving 1 or 2 hrs b4 shot time? or happen to accidentally get home an hr. late, or so?
thanks.

If you can shift by either 15 minutes per shot or 30 minutes per day, to get to the times you need. This can be done in advance if possible, or afterwards to get back to schedule.

We use this tactic to adjust for daylight savings time (in the US).

thanks bj. what if u dont have the warning tho? u know sometimes life is crazy. im lucky mine usually isnt but i can see it happening once or twice a month despite best efforts. might go out and get in an hr. late, and not evn know b4 hand, or have to sched a dr. appt. that will be 2 hrs b4 shot time. any thots on these times that do happen?? i wanna be prepared :)

when u say back on track...if a shot is due at 10am and u have and 8am dr. appt. the next morning that came up unexpectedly, what do u do?

If you think you can get back in time, just give the shot after the doctor's appointment. It's better if you're a little late giving the shot than too early because an early shot with Lantus acts like a dose increase. A late shot is like a decrease. "Better too high for a day than too low for a moment."
