Lantus dosage - How to determine

I have no idea as to how I determine how many units of Lantus to give my Izzy based on her readings each morning and evening. Is there a chart that I can use or how do I determine this?

Her lowest number has been 235 - and her highest number has been around 331. She usually runs closer to 300 - a little below and a little over. I have changed her diet to wet as suggested here and her numbers have improved and she seems to be back to her old self again.

We appreciate any advice we can get. This is a wonderful site. So glad we found it earlier.

Lantus dosing is not based on your pre-shot number. Lantus dose is based on the nadir (lowest number in the cycle) if you are following a Tight Regulation Protocol.
