Lantus and the Palm Springs area?

Before I start the six-hour round-trip to get Lantus I was wondering if there is anyone in the Palm Springs area or obviously within a 3 hour radius that has any available for sale or otherwise. Even if I could buy myself just a couple of days. I dropped my vial this morning and I'm desperate.
 
Not sure about California, but here in Illinois Walgreens will sell one pen, need a script though, they are about $95 for one pen, but if an emergency.. maybe you could have an emergency vet call it in?
 
Thank you all! Even the closest person on Craigslist was almost three hours away. I really live in the sticks; however, I did find a neighbor with type 2 diabetes who had a vial. It was room temperature when he gave it to me and I'm not sure if that's just because he had it sitting out while I was coming over. It is a desert and it is very warm today. But if nothing else it buys me enough time to order a pen from one of the people that have offered. I called my vet this morning and I'm still waiting for them to call me back with a prescription so that's fun.
