Does anyone know if you can buy a lancet pen - not the lancets themselves - separately or do you need to buy the meter and all. I use the One Touch Ultrasoft lancet pen but it fell on the floor and exploded. Now I need to try and find another one.

I love the One Touch Delica, it's about $20 to buy but it's amazing. Very soft click, tiny tiny guage lancet. The cat's don't even seem to feel it. You can't use regular lancets with it, you have to buy the Delica lancets which are a little more, but not much. Highly recommend it.

Where would I buy one? It sounds like an upgrade to the Ultrasoft.

You can buy the lancet device on its own at any pharmacy. Most pharmacies have a few different brands available. The OneTouch Delica is a new lancet device, http://www.onetouch.com/delica. I've seen it at CVS, Wal Mart, and other stores. The UltraSoft lancet device is still made, as far as I can tell from the OneTouch web site http://www.onetouch.com/ultrasoft If your local pharmacy doesn't have either, just buy whatever is available and use it for now. The AccuCheck MultiClix is almost always available at the pharmacy and it's a good one to use. Don't get the CVS generic lancet device, though. It's impossible to use.

Give OneTouch Customer Service a call and see if you can get a replacement lancet device. Do not tell them that you are using it on a cat. because you will not get any help. When my AccuChek Softclix broke, I called up AccuChek and got a free replacement sent right away :-D

I cant remember which one I liked the most, but when it petered out and the others I had were not as good (including the one bought @ pharmacy), I went onto ebay and found replacements. I dont remember it being more than a few dollars. I either used the one touch or contour.

I have a lancet device I'll be happy to send you for free. I ended up with 3 and I only need 2, one to use and a backup. PM me your address and I'll stick it tomorrow's mail.
