Ok, I have been using the same type of Lancet gadget (device) for the last year with the exact same lancets from the same gigantic order. Usually I get a bit of blood the first jab. But lately it takes 5 tries. It is like getting blood out of a turnip.
IT seems as my cats numbers get lower, it’s harder to get a dab. The cat is so patient, but I am getting frustrated.
Am I alone here? Thoughts

thanks
Tom

Are you warming the ear first?
What size lancets? You will have more luck with 26 or 28 gauge lancets.
Do you need to change the depth of the device?

Any chance you accidentally changed the setting on the device to its lowest depth? Mine has a 1, 2, 3, with 3 being the deepest prick. Usually 1 is deep enough, but not always. Just an idea!

My device from Walmart only has one setting. I have never warmed his ear up. It is just odd to me that it is just happening. He is so patient

Very odd!
I just picked up my Relion Lancet device. It has 7 tiny marks for different depths. The longest line is the deepest. Twist the white top to change. Look right above where you click (thin white button) to see the little marks.
??? Any chance you hadn't noticed?
