Labs

You do a Google search for the Merck Veterinary Manual, get to that, and look up the labs. (I'm not at my PC, or I would)
Are you concerned about something in specific?

Ohh how I wish I could just take you to the vet with me every time we go. I have lots of concerns. My concerns are something called Neutrophils. His was 18696 and the range given said the high end is 8500. CPK WAS 1389 PH 8.5 Protein in his urine and both red and white blood cell counts are high.Spike went to the vet because Monday night I came home to a big mess all over my bathroom. I am still not sure if it was all direaha or he was vomiting as well. So Tuesday morning we were off to the vet. His normal vet was out of the office last week. He saw a different lady. He had been OTJ since June 15th. Since his last labs were in late January we did a full workup of labs and x-rays. The short version was that he was constipated and has severe arthritis in his spine near his tail. I told her that Spike is very sensitive to carbs. I left the vet with a tube of laxatone and a tube of Quadritop ointment. Well as you can imagine the Laxatone sent his sugar through the roof. By Thursday morning he was at 354. We are coming down now that I have stopped the Laxatone. Also yesterday I picked up a vial of Adequate to start injections for the arthritis.

The high WBC and CPK would indicate an infection/disease.

ALso see CPK topic of:

High pH typically indicate dehydration. However pH can also be influenced with diet.
Protein in the urine using indicates kidney problems bu other blood and urine results do not show kidney problems.
Thank you for the link Larry &kitties. It does help explain some of the further testing she wants to do. We do know Spike has a heart murmur so she wants to do a Echocardiogram.

The high pH in the UA can also be due to bacteria, and there were other abnormalities in the UA as well. The elevated WBC, Neutrophil, and CPK indicate infection although these tests aren't specific for what type of infection it might be. Even though there was no bacteria present in the initial UA, sometimes this can be misleading, and a culture and sensitivity should still be done to rule out a UTI.

If he's having diarrhea, the vet should get a stool sample and rule out GI infections as well.

Some of the GI infections can infect humans as well, so be careful handling his wastes.

His kidney labs look fine (creatinine, BUN), and his sodium level as well as the specific gravity in the urine don't indicate dehydration. Liver values look good as well so upper GI is probably not an issue either.

We did a fecal test as well. As far as I can see all looked good.

The stool test above was only for worms/protozoa parasites. These are the most common GI issues in cats. However, there could also be bacterial issues, the test above did not test for any bacterial GI diseases. Salmonella/shigella can occur in cats and are either from tainted food, eating infected animals, or being exposed to infected animal feces. Listeria, also, is a common cause of pet food recalls and a common food borne illness due to contamination. There are a few other bacterial GI issues that can infect cats.
