I do not give dose advice because I cant figure my own out
but I have to say I am kinda glad that you did 3.25.
I would hate for the Ketones to come back!
Might be another rough night keeping an eye on her
but I think it is worth it

I like your reasoning. You know you can handle any situation that comes up.

The reason I mentioned dropping lower is because you have cleared up the UTI and the Abcessed Teeth problem, her bg's may be coming down on their own and that may be why your normal 4 units was too much insulin for her last night. Gather data and adjust.

OK I am late to the party and read through things pretty fast, but please don't overreduce!!! Dose reduction didn't even cross my mind in reading through the thread until suddenly everyone was talking about it and I got all confused! Maybe I missed something, but I think the higher #s are most likely from the HC food, and you finally got some greens so I would capitalize on that. If she is not eating I would reduce a hair, but not a lot. Those are her #s not eating, and she wasn't too low. So with food, she will likely run higher, which if anything means the dose with food on board is probably too low. Now I'm not saying increase or anything in the midst of everything else that is going on, but I don't think you should reduce a lot, if any.

Darn that she is not feeling well. :evil: Is she eating at all? I got a little lost in all the meds discussion - did she get some Bupe? Gosh I hope so, everyone likes a little Bupe!!!! :-D

OK it looks like you went with 3.25. That seems reasonable, nice pick! I would have shot a little more, but that's ok, I don't think it's a horrifying reduction. :mrgreen: I got a little overexcited for a minute there, lol.
