One of my civies- Miss Kitty is a sweet sweet girl. She is also an emotional eater lol. She loves to eat EVERYTHING. So regulating my diabetic cats at feeding time can be challenging because she will finish their food! Anyhoo. I have everyone on wet food save for Abigail who refuses wet food- I have her on the no carb dry. I feel like since I made the switch to strictly wet its messed with her digestive system. First she was constipated. I gave her some Laxitone. After about a week she started going regular. Then she started these soft serve ice cream poops. It's not diarrhea but super soft and as gross as this sounds looks like soft serve ice cream. So I thought she may be sensitive with the wet food. I gave her the no carb dry. Still ice cream sunday. Then today I gave her some boiled chicken with Fortaflora on it to help regulate her. She doesn't have worms or anything. Her tummy just hurts and her stools are very soft. Any suggestions?

It can take them some time to adjust to a change in food. The Fortaflora should help with that. If it doesn't seem to help in a week there may be something in the food that is not agreeing with her. Make sure she is drinking enough water to compensate for more of it going out in her bowel movements.

Canned pumpkin can help (pure pumpkin not the pie filling) but you might want to transition her to wet over a period of a week so it's more gradual.

I am thinking that maybe it is the fish. They have been eating the same thing forever. I would occasionally give the wet food too but they always had the Authority Salmon. I've heard that they can get an allergy. She is driving me crazy though lol. After one of my cats finished up she went over to lick the remnants of the wet food. She ate the chicken this morning and is now ignoring it!
