My little buddy has gone to the big mouse hunt in the sky.
While he was victorious in his battle with diabetes he lost his battle with the intestinal tumor that took him from us.

I'd like to thank you all for all the support, help and suggestions received since coming to this site.
I'm quite sure would have left us far sooner without the individuals on this site

To look at me you'd think I had been chopping onions all morning.

Kitty will be miss and loved for the rest of my days.

Thank you all again.
 
Oh Sev, I am so sorry to hear you have lost Kitty. I so admired the way you jumped right into his diabetes fight, learned all you could as fast as you could and took charge. You were a wonderful parent to Kitty and gave him a life full of love and caring. What more could a cat want?

I hope you will soon be able to remember his antics and personality quirks with smiles rather than tears. He will be a part of your life forever.

I take some small comfort that he passed in the comfort of his home and not on a stainless steel table.
Its not much but somehow it seems right.
I made sure he was outside these past few days so that he could enjoy the sunlight and fresh air.

Had he not adopted us in NY all those years ago he may never have had the life he enjoyed.
He was loyal and loving.
I'll miss him following me around the property and inspecting everything I was doing.

I would like to note that I believe the treatments of the Meeker Red raspberry and Transfer factor plus were working. However I believe we found the tumor to late and Kitty had lost to much body mass to adequately be able to fight off the growing mass.

I will be burying him under a large oak tree today.
 
Sev, I'm so sorry you had to say your goodbyes to Kitty. You did the absolute best for him and hopefully our kitties know this. My heart goes out to you. Jan
 
Kitty went on his own terms. What more can one ask of a loving, loyal companion. My heart goes out and prayers for comfort follow. Fly free Kitty, on the wings of angels fly free.

There is nothing more heartbreaking than losing them to cancer when "everything else" is going just fine. You have my sympathies and condolences. I am right there with you having just lost my Jeddie on Tuesday to cancer.

Kitty was one of the first I followed on the board- I came on just as he was just passed his OTJ.

He is an inspiration that will be missed.

I used to follow you and Kitty when you first joined the board. I thought it was awesome that you would take Kitty with you on your jobs in order to monitor him. I thought these guys are going to go OTJ quick. I am so sad that Kitty was taken from you because of cancer. There is never enough time.

So sorry you lost your Kitty. You did such a super job in getting him OTJ. So sorry he got the tumor.

I will be praying for you as you go through this grief. So glad that he was able to stay at home with you.

Sev this is so heart breaking to read. Baxter & Kitty were DX almost on the same date. You & I joind FDMB almost at the same time too. I have followed you, PM you & celebrated Kitty's OTJ party with you. So learning Kitty is a cat angel now is truly heart breaking.

I buried Kitty on the hill behind the house under a large shade tree.

Seems I am not the only one that is sad about his passing.

Thunderstorms rolled in and trees started dropping on the property.

All is calm now and the rain has stopped. Funny how these things happen
 
Sev, my deepest sympathy to you on the passing of Kitty. You were such an awesome dad to Kitty and because you jumped right in and took control of his care he had so much more time with you. We know that first vet probably would have killed him with a major hypo. You were right on top of everything and he thrived from your care and love. We all know how much deeper and closer the bond becomes when dealing with diabetes in our cat and how our life changes when we lose them.

Kitty knew how much you loved him and may beautiful and loving memories help you through the "moments". Tears truly are our only release. wings_cat Just so damn sad
 
I'm so sorry for your loss. May the tree grow even stronger and more beautiful with Kitty's presence underneath it. I hope your sadness passes quickly and you can enjoy fond memories.
 
Sev, I am so sorry Kitty isn't with you in body but know he will always be with you in spirit. You're his Poppa Bean, forever.

I am so sorry sev. because of you and how you jumped right in for Kitty he had more time to be with you. such love and devotion. your loss is deep but feel good that you did whatever could be done to keep kitty pain free and loved and happy for what time he had left.
