Can you send some our direction? I've got a stubborn girl on my hands.
I really cant give you dosing advice. The crew on here knows far better than I.
However I was testing almost every hour which produced a lot of data.
Check Kitty's SS.
I have stuck with both Merrick and Wellness canned foods. Mostly Wellness because the cans are 12oz and the over all cost is comes down. $2.37 a 12oz can.
I tried EVO 95%. However neither cat like it very much. So I am going to exchange it for their Turkey and Chicken Formula. It has a much higher protein to fat ratio. These cans are 13.2 oz @ $1.79. If they llike this it brings my cost down to about 13.56 cents an oz. Which makes it comparable to cheaper brands such as Fancy Feast.
I am not using any foods that exceed 6 carbs. All are generally under it.
I also have been cooking turkey and using that as a supplement to his diet.
Make sure progressive feeding works for your kitty.
I feed at 6:30 AM and PM.
I am also making fresh turkey broth from the carcass.
DO NOT USE any onion, garlic or tomato when you cook the turkey or add it to the broth. All are poisonous to cats. I do add a little Kosher salt though.
I generally boil it down to half its starting volume.
Low carb and the cats love it.
I put it in a separate bowl for them to lap it up during feeding time.
Another thing that happened was that I rescued a Main Coon Cat kitten. The little fire ball is giving Kitty a lot of exercise. Kitty has also gone back to being free range since I added a new cat door.
Exercise can have a impact from what I understand.
Hope this is some help to you.
