I just picked my baby up! She is one happy sugarcat at the present time!!!
The vet did not test Kitty's BG last night or this morning---just shot 3.5 units. She has been giving 3.5 units for three days and has assured me it is safe. She said there was no need to test unless I wasn't going to be home to monitor her. It would be so much easier if she would buy into what I am doing.
She did say, she did not want to rush a move to a higher dose of PZI or to Lantus. She said she was convinced Kitty was showing no rebound and that her numbers were truly high BG.
She also tested my meter (accuchek aviva) against the alpha track numerous times this week--mine was the higher of the two (about 10 percent). She also said the accuchek took a lot more blood than the alpha track--who knows?!
So, it looks like I am on my own--with the help of the board to try to break through these numbers.
