Good Morning!
Kitty seems to be feeling better. I hate to even suggest that she might be feeling better, as it seems that has been a Jinx lately! Nothing in her treatment has really changed since I took her to the vet on Wednesday, except the addition of the Omeprazole. I wouldn't have thought, it would have made a big positive impact on her...but, maybe it has. I am more inclined to think that "something" else is reasponsible for her improved attitude. I have given her the bupe on a more regular schedule, so maybe the bupe is helping also. She is due to get the appetite stimulant today, but I am not intending on giving it. She woke me up wanting to eat again this morning-- the vet said I really should use the appetite stimulant on an as needed basis, as it can build up in the cat's system and have some negative effects. So, for now-- no appetite stimulant today! She seems much perkier and alert today and is interacting more with the other cats. I am shooting tid, and her BGs have been lower the last two days-- mabye another indication that she is in less pain. As I have stated earlier, I know none of this is Good and that the outcome will not be favorable, BUT I am thankful for EVERY pain free day that we can spend together. So, Today---- I am Thankful!
Chewy is Wonderful! He has taken over the couch on the sunporch! I am going to weigh him today....he has gained A LOT of weight in the last month! I still am amazed that he was an owner surrender to a High Kill Shelter--- what a shame that such a wonderful cat like Chewy could end up in such a terrible place. Never Again, he is Safe and Loved now!
Wishing Everyone a Great Day and Weekend from Diabetic Alley......
