Good Morning!
Kitty seems to be stabilizing a little! Last night, she insisted on staying on the sunporch overnight--So, I let her. This morning, I got up at 6 am to give her some meds etc..when I opened the door to the porch she came scooting (she doesn't run!) across the floor and meowing-- this use to be a norm for her! She went to the kitchen--hissing at Chewy and Emily to get out of her way-- and put her feet on the cabinet to be lifted to her old eating spot! This is only about the second time in a month that she has done this. I have not given her the appetite stimulant or bupe in 5 days. She still is not healthy, but I am happy to see any positive signs! Her BG was 366 this morning-- that was on a normal 12 hour bid schedule--so, that was much better also. Hopefully, the Acute Ptitis is resolving and we can get back to just fighting the chronic heart and kidney problems.
Chewy is Great! I am going to contact Venita and see what I need to do to Officially adopt him! Want it be a hoot if I get denied in the adoption process?! He is a great cat and seems to fit in wonderfully with my crew. He loves all of them and is very submissive. The last thing I need is another cat, especially a Diabetic Cat! But, he needs a forever home and life is not always about what we need! I know I will take care of him to the best of my ability and I can't imagine sending him to another home.
Please continue to send good vibes to Kitty. I will let you know when I can take DCIN foster off of Chewy's Spreadsheet!
Wishing Everyone a Great Day from a Cloudy and Cool Diabetic Alley.......
