Good Morning!

Well, it is another intersting and exciting morning in the Alley (wish I was there!)

Kitty
AMPS 177 -- delayed and waiting an hour to retest.



Chewy
PMPS 182 shot .3
+16.5 120

Chewy had no checks during the night since I am not home! So, the first test after the PM shot was this morning by the sitter at +16.5. The 120 is lower than any test yesterday-- so, maybe this is trending the "right" way! (Fingers crossed!)
I will keep you updated!

Whew! I just got home...threw the bags down, grabbed the monitor and found Chewy!

Okay, so where do I go from here? Obviously, I am not shooting a 105--but, do low 100s constitute a need for ultra small doses to drive the numbers down further? Or, is this a wait and see game?

He is playing and running all over the house! He missed me....and yes, I missed him!

I'm so glad everything went well while you were gone. Of course, you missed each other....

So, set up a line in the sand that you will shoot - 170/180/190/200 - whatever fits your comfort level. When he gets there, shoot your designated amount. I would start low; you can always build up. Somwhere below .5 - maybe .2/.3 ? See how that does, how long it lasts. The idea is to catch him when he is headed up and at your number, shoot and monitor. When he hits your number the next time - whether 12 or 36 hours, or whatever, shoot again. I think we thought cats don't get into hypo territory at those low doses, but Kitty recently blew that theory so I would be cautious starting.

Look at Sev's ss or Cello'smom. They are the ones with the most complete data who did this most recently.

Course, he could make this real easy by just staying in non diabetic numbers and letting the food bring him down. :mrgreen:

Is he really going or are you keeping him?

Angela...the "official" status for Chewy is...his transport has been postponed until further notice!

Yay!!! Very happy for you guys Kim. You are doing such a fantastic job with all the critters there in the Alley.
When you have time, we need more critter pictures too :-D (I know you are busier than a one armed paper hanger :shock: )

Welcome back to the Alley.

I wasn't even brave enough to shoot that low. The lowest I ever shot was 130 and I only shot a drop of insulin. So shoot as needed now and I'll predict that he will drop down into the greens on his own at his own time.

I really want to shoot the 159...BUT, 180 is where I am comfortable. I know he is headed up and I probably should shoot .2 now......ugggg! He just ate, so maybe the pancreas will help out a little. Between Kitty's crazy shot schedule and now Chewy's numbers, I might never get any sleep! So, I am taking a cat nap for 2 hours and then getting up to retest him! Knowing my luck he will be 179!!!

Kitty actually just went 12 hours on a cycle-- 273 preshot at +12! :-D

Wow Kim! Great stuff!!!... but I am sure this is hell on the schedule.

Must be something in the air, we are low tonight too. Might be a long night for all of us.

It seems like everyone is having better and lower numbers.....maybe Prozinc had a "strong" batch recently!

WOW!!! 32 hours without... VERY cool!!!

What a lucky kitty Chewy is to have landed in Diabetic Alley of Kittyville! This morning he told me, "My mom ROCKS! Makes me want to do backflips!"

Very strange, mine just threw me a 159 too! Looks like we might be able to hold a multi-cat OTJ party soon!
