Kitty had a rough night last night. I gave her a f3.7 at her pmps (11:00 pm) along with a dose of bupe--I didn't think she acted really good for the last couple of days and she has not been eating well. One hour later, I was awakened to her vomiting. This continued for a couple of hours, I did contact the ER. She settled down and I elected to wait until this morning to take her to her normal vet. I monitored her bg through the night, to be sure the loss of food didn't bottom her out and I checked for ketones (neg).

She has been at the vet all day. Her bloodwork came back okay--kidney values unchanged, liver values normal, and her pancreas enzymes had actually improved significantly. So, she got fluids and I brought her home--her bg levels have been in the yellows most of the day and she reached a blue nadir. Her mdps being 259.

I am not sure what is going on with her, I thought it was a ptitis flare-up, but with her enzymes being almost normal--I am not certain.

She would not eat for me this morning, but she did eat some at the vet today. Once I got her home, I fed her 1/3 can of FF which she also ate.

So, I am anxious but hopeful that this was just an off day. I actually suspect the bupe might have made her throw up, but she felt bad before I gave it to her.

I will update her SS later.

I hope you all are having a Great Day!

Sorry you guys had a rough night...
Hopefully she will be feeling better soon...maybe she just ate something that did anot agree with her

Kim, has Kitty ever been evaluated for IBD? Many pancreatitis kitties actually have this too. In fact, there is a theory out there that undiagnosed IBD actually leads to pancreatitis. There is a shared duct in cats for bile that the pancreas dumps into, so bacteria and inflammation in the intestines can sometimes backup into the duct and get into the pancreas, causing inflammation and infection there. Vomiting isn't usually what I think of first with pancreatitis, but it definitely is for IBD. If her pancreatic enzymes are normal, then what you are seeing could be a flareup of IBD actually. Just thought I'd mention it. Shaikha has had attacks of both on the past, and often they occur concurrently. Right now we've got her pancreatitis under control, but IBD is still a problem as her stools are still not normal just yet.
