Good Morning!

Kitty seems a little perkier today!

The stools are still yucky-- ugh.

She ate well last night and this morning. We completed one of the abs last night and have a long way to go on the other. I talked to a tech at the vet clinic last night, who explained they actually did a bone graft on her jaw. I can 't believe she has no pain meds. We are scheduled to go back today to have the UTI rechecked.

amps--331--continuing to drop! I shot 4.25.

Hopefully she continues to feel better and the bgs come down.

Glad she seems better this morning. I can't believe they didn't give her more pain meds! Good you're going today so you can ask for some. Stay cool out there...I think I heard it's gonna cool off a bit here.
 
I wanted to share something before heading off go to work (so much for vacation )

---Kitty use to sleep on the bed with me. She now prefers to sleep downstairs in the den.

Last night, I laid in bed thinking how much I missed her coming into the bedroom and getting on the bed with me. I thought how much I wish I could experience those simple Happy times again! But, I have accepted that Kitty is aging and arthritic and that is the past and it is okay.

Well...... This morning I am making up my bed and low and behold, who appeared? Yes, Kitty -- she climbed 14 steps.....well, you get it....!

So, it is a GREAT day in Kittyville!

It really is the simple things that give us the most pleasure!

Good luck at the vet and get pain meds.! The mouth can make her feel really crappy but she came to you! things are turning around really well .... maybe until she's feeling better, you could carry her up to you?? Have a great day and let us know how it goes at the vet.

I can't believe she had a bone graft and no pain meds. :shock: Can you imagine going through that yourself with no meds afterward? Hell you get a tooth pulled and they give you vicodin! :lol:
 
Yea, I agree Kelly! And, to top all that off-- I have called the vet 3 times and am yet to get a return call.

So-- still no pain meds-- but, she acts like she feels better.

Do you know if you can give a cat imodium? I guess that is how you spell it-- I know dogs can take it, but I am not sure about cats.
 
Just checked her pmps --305! I am liking this! The preshots have continuously come down since the dental.

So--I guess I am suppose to have the nerve to shoot 4 to 4.25 into this! I need more data-- more mid cycle testing--- I know, I know!!!!!!
 
It is outrageous that your vet does not respond, especially after dental work. I do not know about Immodium. I would post that question on Health. glad for the lower numbers!
 
She just called---she suggested Activia or canned pumpkin for the diarrhea. I think Joanna mentioned some probiotics last night-- I will go reread.

Anyone ever used Activia or canned pumpkin?

I can get some flagyl tomorrow if necessary.

I inhaled deeply and exhaled slowly and shot 4 units!

Can you carry her up to bed with you then back down in the morning? I used to do that with my dog when she started having trouble getting around.
 
Yea-- But the bed is high and it is hard for her to get off during the night. She has the run of the house, but lately she has confined herself between the den and kitchen.

She stayed upstairs all day today!

She seems really good tonight!
 
I have steps on the side of the bed and a blanket chest at the foot. She can get up there if she wants-- she has just chosen not too!

Maybe I should put an elevator in for her!!!

I thought you had skipped out on us! I went over to L land to see if you were hanging out over there.

How is Harley? I see you changed shot sites again.
 
Elevator is good! Fiona wouldn't get on or off the bed...I had to put her up there then get her down in the morning! Thumper & Callie are having a hard time getting on my bed too. They jump up & then pull themselves up with their claws, and I can hear them ripping at the comforter! :lol:
