Good Morning!
Today has not been good. Kitty did not want to Eat this morning at all. I actually had the car packed and was going to take her back to the vet school, just to be sure there were no additional options for her treatment. The truth is, I am not even sure what we are treating as her main problem....her heart, her kidneys, Ptitis...or all. So, the car was packed and I was taking Kitty to the car when I decided to try to get her to eat one more time. I told her if she would eat, that I would not make her go to Raleigh......she didn't eat much, but she did eat some! So, I unpacked the car. I have called the vet school to see if there are alternative appetite stimulants that we can try-- I am waiting on a call back. I bought her a drinking fountain a month ago, but she didn't seem to like it. I set it back up this morning, and she seems to be enjoying it.
I still am not certain that we will not end up back at the vet today or over the weekend. She must eat.....she is skinny and frail and she can't take many days of decreased appetite. The vet mentioned a feeding tube at the last visit---but, I do not think I am interested in that option. I would support a feeding tube if it was short term in an effort to get her stronger, but not as a means to just extend life.
Hopefully the day will get better and she will EAT more!
Wishing Everyone a Great Day from Kittyville....
