Okay, Kitty was 269 + 10 this morning . I fed her a very small amount and rechecked at preshot (about 1.5 this morning and she was 404. I shot 3 units. She got 100 mls of sub Qs today at+5.

I just checked her at +11 and she was 270. I have fed her and am going to shoot soon .

This is confusing to me. I heard Joanna the other night about shooting short.

Is this a case where I should shoot 3? Normally, I would shoot 2.5 .

I wish your spreadsheet was up to date. It is hard to remember what you have been doing lately. Is this 270 a lot lower than you have been seeing at pmps?

I looked back through your posts. Looks like 2.5 into 270 the other night was too little, right? I would think 3 is okay, if you are comfortable with it, and if you can test before bed. If it really makes you nervous, 2.75?

I have never seen but three "yellow" preshots. I normally shoot 2 or 2.25 onto these-- but they are short.

I will update the ss tomorrow-- a tornado hit me neighborhood yesterday and I using my phone. It will not pull up easy on it.

I just retested her and she was 340-that is with the food in her for an hour. I shot 2.8 and admit I probably should have given 3. With the new insulin and fluids I am a little lost.

I am glad she is responding to the insulin-- now if I can pin the dose down.

I really think she is a 3 unit bid dose-- but she is not eatIng as much, new vial & fluids create some stress!!!

At the least, I am adding to my data.

We will see how it looks in the morning!

Thanks--Kim

Yeah Kim, you are the kitty momma stud dealing with all the terrible storm stuff and being an awesome mum indeed!

Good to see your post, now update your SS :) you still need to add stress into your readings and all the changes ..... I'd stay with the 3u, at least what I can tell from your SS and let everything calm down. I would push her eating though, tempt her with okay stuff but keep her eating. watch her ketones now ... stress and slowing down eating, just be aware. Sometimes it's the stuff from left field that can get you. I too applaud your getting it together! :RAHCAT :RAHCAT
Nancy and Payne ......

She is still eating good--- just 1 can of FF per feeding instead of 1.5. I think it is her DM getting better controlled, making her less hungry.

She seems to feel good-- I actually caught her playing with her mice toys today!

Playing is good .... Payne is starting to do all of her cat stuff, when she's sick she doesn't do, and you don't realize how much you've missed them just being a cat. Stretching out on her back, full out .... letting one of her civvies groom her and she grooms them back .... finding the sliver of sun on the carpet and fitting her whole body in it :) this is why we do what we do, so they can do what they do so well, be cats!!
Nancy and Payne .... doing really well.
