Okay, yesterday's pmps was 241. I shot 2 units (csds!)---I knew it was probably low. I was expecting a high number this morning, but her amps was 365. I actually was pleasantly surprised that it was no higher. Maybe it doesn't take much to make me happy!
So, I had no idea what to shoot this morning. Obviously, something is different-the hydration level or insulin. I didn't feel comfortable being overly aggressive with my dose. Yesterday, was such a different day than what we have been seeing.
So, I shot 2.8 this morning. I don't want her to go back up into the reds--but I feel like I am shooting a different cat.
Don't forget ---Kitty has had DKA--but that happened on once a day dosing. But, I don't want to "short" the insulin.
I am out of town in meetings today so, I have someone checking on her.
So, what do you think concerning the dose I gave?
Help!
