Kittens

A friend of mine has 1 week old kittens & I am going to begin putting the word out to find them good homes.
How long should kittens stay with their mom? I think most are given away to soon & want to make sure to tell him they need to stay with momma the right amount of time.

I've always kept them together for eight weeks but by the 5th. or 6th. week Mom will tire of them,
but she teaches them a lot of stuff those two extra weeks. I love kittens, who doesn't? good luck.

Never earlier than 8 weeks and majority of reputable breeders will not let them go earlier than 12 weeks....some even 16 weeks.

Eight weeks at the earliest, but it is better to wait until 12 weeks. By then they have developed their social skills and the new owners are less likely to have problems.
