Kidney problems

Hi- I noticed my guy’s numbers increasing so I took him to the vet. They found that his kidneys are starting to struggle. The Dr gave me some Hill’s K/D kidney care food to try. I checked and the carbs are way to high. Any recommendations for food for a diabetic with kidney problems? Dipper has been solely on fancy feast pate since being diagnosed. He is currently on Prozinc 2.5.

Hi I was looking at your SS and only see 2 test for 2021 4-17-21 and 6-19 -21and no units filled in
Do you test everyday?
You should also be testing at night after his PMPS
For 2020 you don't have any units filled in in or testing after both are shots

yes I test every day and night Preshot. I am just bad at filling out the spreadsheet. That is how I knew his numbers were climbing and looked at his averages. He has been on 2.5 units since he started

This is what I feed cc... All the foods are under 10 carb and under 1 percent phosphorus. My cat allie was just diagnosed early ckd so I'm back in the same boat. She's a bit pickier with food so not sure what to give her yet. She does like the chicken Checkmate so far.


Weruva slide and serve pate foods Family Food (.97 phosphorus and 0 carb). Also Jeopurrdy Chicken (0.97 P 6.1 carb)
What a Crock 0.71 phosphorus and 8 carb lots of gravy so she loved it.
Goody stew shoes 0.71 phosphorus, 8.5 carb. This one was a big hit

Weruva Steak Frites (0.57 phosphorus 5.5 carb although I take out any big pieces of potatoes to try to limit the carbs just a bit)

Weruva LA isla Bonita - phosphorus 0.77 carb 4.5 (used to like, not a favorite anymore)
Glam and punk 1% carb, 0.93 phosphorous.

Weruva paw lickin chicken 3.3 carb 0.82 p and
Press your lunch 5.9 carb. 0.82 phosphorous
Bff play Laugh Out Loud chicken and lamb 7.7 carb, 0.82 phosphorous
BFF play destiny (chicken and duck) 0.87 phosphorus 7.7 carb
Bff play chicken cherish 0.71 phosphorus 7.6 carb
Bff play best buds chicken and beef 7.9 carb 0.9 phosphorus
Bff play chicken Checkmate. 7.7 carb 0.7 phos
On the Cat Wok 3.8 carb 0.74 phos

I have three seniors. The kidneys are always a weak spot. Her glucose was good though! Hahaha Allie has to go for a dental and get a couple teeth pulled in two weeks
