I came home late last night- around 3AM or so and Kazi had vomited multiple times. She vomited twice more between my going to bed and waking up at 6:30. She has a temp, so the vet thinks an infection of some kind...had to leave her for bloodwork and a urinalysis. My stomach is in knots. :YMSIGH:

Re: Kazi is at the Vet.

I know that feeling. Hopefully, the vet will provide some fluids and an antibiotic. Please let us know what the vet has to say.

Lots of snowflakes and vines for both Kazi and you today!!

Re: Kazi is at the Vet.

Wonderful she is at the vet. So many wait to take their kitty to the vet when they should have gone -- good for you.
Sending you many snowflakes.

I hope Kazi recovers quickly and completely. She is in the right place to get help. Best of luck to you too Amanda.

Re: Kazi is at the Vet.

Praying for you both. I know when Napoleon's diabetes was not even diagnosed he would have vomiting fits - sometimes vomit 10 times within hours. It is sometimes a symptom of the high bgs I heard. Can't view your SS from here so I am not sure what Kazi's numbers have been. Keep us updated. Try to relax, I know how it feels I have been there :-)

Re: Kazi is at the Vet.

I hope you hear some good news soon! Feel better, Kazi! Healing vines and snowflakes heading your way!

Re: Kazi is at the Vet.

I know how scary it is to have this happen to your furbaby.

What you are describing could be so many things...so good that you took her to the vet right away. Thomas once had symptoms similar to what you describe, which turned out to be a bad CP flare. I also took him in right away, and he fought his way back to me.

Sending lots of snowflakes and healing vines to Kazi.

Re: Kazi is at the Vet.

I had to do inventory at work today- skipped out until I could pick her up at 4:30 but just got home an hour ago. What an exhausting day.

Kazi has some kind of infection- Vet said it looks like it hasn't traveled to her kidneys, ketones are negative and other than extra white blood cells in her blood and extra red and white blood cells in her urine things looked pretty good. They kept her for the day on fluids and gave her a nice big shot of penicillin. I dropped off a lethargic, glassy eyed cat who was quiet nearly the entire way to the vet laying in the kennel. I picked up a somewhat punkish cat- but she is obviously feeling MUCH better. Yowled her opinion at me the entire way home in between head butts. Been cruising around the house- ate 1/2 a can of food which is about par for her and chowed down her freeze dried salmon treat. Her BG was 389 at the vet (about what I got the last few days and SKY HIGH for her)...and tonight she was 236 or so which is about normal for her AMPS and PMPS.

Thank you all for your thoughts today, it helps to know you have so many people pulling for you.

I'm gald Kazi is doing better  . I hope she kicks the infection quickly.
