Should I be increasing Kaz's dose again? He's in blues and yellows now and I'm sure that in some cases he may have dropped into the greens but I did not catch this through testing.

Looks like he might be sliding down today. Can you get a later test today? If no green I would increase.

Had a slight issue with this evenings shot. I gave him the 2.5 however I'm using new needles and they are little more sensitive than the old ones. I know most of the insulin went in but at least two drops did not.

Due to the misshot tonight the readings this evening will be distorted so I'll try to get extra readings tomorrow evening or should I adjust anyway. No chance he will go into greens tonight due to the missed amount of insulin.

I went up to 2.75 as I think Kaz needs the extra insulin but I also think he will go into green quickly at this level.

Hi Tiffmaxee - I went up to 2.75 units and within a day really (due to fur ball shot) he is in green so does that mean I have to immediately move back to 2.5 or should I keep him at 2.75 for another day.

No, stick with the new dose unless there’s a drop under 50. You want to see green.

Me too although I have no idea why he has bounced this afternoon. Unlike my usual chickening out I have kept him on 0% and 1% carb food but he's bounced into the high 300's. I don't really understand why this has happened.

Thanks Bron. I always hope that this happens on a Thursday and not a Sunday due to work. Since the close call with the DKA a couple weeks ago he's been quite healthy and happy. I'm trying not to get scared when I see green and feed higher carb food which is hard when I have to go to work. That's why I was so disappointed to see him bounce today as I had picked up 6-7% carb food and then changed to 1%.

It’s the greens that he is not accustomed to. Made him bounce.
