So tonight will be his first shot however if I test him and his BG is only 150 or so should I even bother giving him one? Remember he hasn't had ant insulin yet, this will be his first shot.
Thought I'd start asking now to get the most advise.

No insulin if he's only 150. This go around could be different from the first time. What insulin are you using?

I just have a feeling his BG won't be real high, will take at 10:00 p.m.

He was at 292 so I gave 1u , 2u would of made me too nervous to start.

Okay good, I'm more nervous than I though. He didn't even flinch, gave it to him on his side close to the stomach.
I will get a s up in the next day or so.
I need to breath.

Actually the recommended starting dose for Lantus is 1 u twice a day. Were you using Lantus the first time around ?

He just ate too. I feel good , feeling like I've taken control of this now.

Yes, he only had 6 or 7 days of shots and went into remission
