I think she'll be okay though. I've got her back up to 66 and she's eating, so that's a good thing. Will likely skip her mid-day dose of insulin unless she's at astronomical levels (doubtful!) and see how she's doing this evening. I think the lower amount eaten may be partly to blame in addition to a sputtering pancreas that may have suddenly decided to come back to life. She sure has scared me these past few days!

At +7 she's up to 125, so I think we'll be okay. I don't think she'll be getting her mid-day dose at +8, though!

Suggestions for a PM dose?? I'm not sure even which way to go. The hypo sheet says they tend to be more sensitive to insulin after a hypo, but I'm sure she'll be bouncing like mad after this. I don't want to cut her back too far. I'm thinking 0.5U to see how she does. I'm hoping we can settle back at 0.6 or 0.7U, which is closer to where she was a few weeks ago. Of course, given how variable she is, everything will probably change by tomorrow -- or even by tonight!

Off to pick up my car. I was going to run errands today, but given her numbers this AM I dropped my car off and headed right back home and am glad I did!

Wendy!
I am so sorry I wasnt around, how is she doing now
How are you holding up?

have you shot and do you know what you are going to shoot?

At +12 she's up to 331. By tonight I'm sure she'll be in red territory since it has been so long since insulin. I'll give a lower dose like they are suggesting, though I'm afraid she's going to have a pretty high and flat day tomorrow if we drop that low.

She's still not feeling all that great, so I gave another dose of bupe. She didn't eat much at all when I offered her normal canned food earlier tonight. I'm hoping that it was just the dry food that I kept stuffing down her earlier today that was keeping her from feeling as hungry, but the way she looked in the bowl and looked at me like "where's the REAL food you gave me earlier today?" has me a little worried. My little dry food addict may be a bit of a problem for a few days, though her appetite hasn't been 100% since last night. She did eat better this AM but she's definitely not feeling so great. Her tummy is still tender.

Will have to see how she's doing tomorrow. If she's still off I may have to take her to my vet to ensure she's not running a fever or that an infection isn't flaring up since that sometimes happens when her CP flares. Bleah.
