My cat is NOT insulin resistant!! Almost 6 years down the road and he is regulated, and they, the vets, STILL writes that in his medical journal. Grrrr. Are they slow or dumb or what?

I'm with you. Some are just ignorant.

Perhaps "insulin resistant" is code for "That cat has us baffled and we don't understand".

They have 28 specialist vets and more than 45 specialized nurses .... and they STILL can't get the medical journals right .... :-Q

I've had my 2 rabbits there since 1980 to 1987,
then I've had all my cats there since 1988: my rescue
female Tjejen (1988-2002), my rescue baby boy Lillen (1994-1995),
my rescue boy Gustav (1995->), my rescue boy Simba (1996->),
my rescue baby female Sessan (2010->), my rescue baby boy Zackie (2010->),
my rescue baby female Donna (2010->), and my extra boy Melvin (2009->)

Here are their best diabetes vets, at least according to Simba
Heidi and Katarina

And probably the best vet overall, since he takes care of Gustav's lipoma fat cell cancer, Gustav's blood pressure, Gustav's plasma cell cancer multiple myelom, Donna's heart hole VSD ventricle septum defect, Sessan's bronchitis/ asthma, does all the biopsies, and does all the x-ray and ultra sound scans.

It is all the other vets that makes us go

Here is a movie, http://staus.phosworks.se/ShowMovie/?id ... c1732fd7d6 It is Sweden's largest animal hospital.
Too many smelly dogs as usual there in the video, says Simba ....

I know Ann; it's very discouraging that so many vets just don't know or understand.
I am grateful that WE know more than those vets, but I do feel sad for the owners who trust and believe those vets.

Big pats and hugs for your kitties, and continue to vent all you like.
