Elvis was diagnosed a week ago, and this is only the second time I've gotten a reading from her.
A week ago: 525 in the vet's office.
Prescribed 2 units of Lantus, twice a day
Wednesday: 310 in the morning (she had eaten a small amount of food a hour earlier, and just before testing)
And now, 7 hours after her morning shot: 94.
So I don't know what she was at this morning. I'm worried that I may not be able to get another bg tonight. (Though I think I was successful just now because I just bought different lancets, and spent a really long time warming her ears while she slept.)
What do I do if I can't get a reading? Skip her shot tonight?
And if I do get a reading, how high would it have to be in order for me to shoot tonight?
