Morning, all. I've been slowly increasing her dose since 2.2 no longer seems to have much of an affect. She's been pink quite a bit with a sprinkling of yellow/blue here and there.

Looks like a good plan. Could you run a curve sometime soon? It would be interesting to see what's going on for a whole cycle. Might help us determine what's going on.

She is interesting in that she doesn't have the same reactions cycle to cycle. Just comparing the mid cycle numbers yesterday to today. Have you looked at her food? I am wondering if a little higher or lower carb might make the difference. You might start putting the carb level or the food type in your comment section and see if you can find any correlation. The only other thing I see is that she seems to react better to a dose increase at first, and then has flatter cycles.

I don't know anything to offer except to increase by 0.25 every couple of days (giving her more time than normal to settle into a dose) until she hits that plateau and starts back down.

I'm not sure I can get much lower carb content food. I think everything is 3-6% now. Seems like my only option to lower it even more would be feed one of those natural diets with nothing but meats. I'm going to increase her dose and do another curve tomorrow.

I like the pmps tonight. I think lowering the dose a smidge for the yellow preshots might be a good idea. I like your dose for the punks.

Perfect timing, Sue! Just ran a full curve including a couple tests after her evening shot. I'll put it at a 2.4 for yellow and 2.6 for pinks. I'm glad you responded when you did. I was thinking 2.6 would possibly be too high for yellows and I wouldn't want her going hypo.

So she was fighting with my other cat this morning for some reason and instead of coming out for food and her shot she ran away and hid for 3 hours. I tried to get her out with food and toys but she wasn't having it. They don't fight often but the other one is a few years younger and sometimes get a little pushy when trying to play and Nala is more laid back and wants to relax. It's not too terrible because her AMPS was so low. I fed her and gave her a reduced shot of 1.2 at +3. If she's running low numbers again at PMPS I'll just adjust her shot and give her another reduced one this evening and see if it's back to predictable numbers in the morning.

Interesting. You'd think the fight would increase her numbers.but glad it didn't. So it looks like the 2.6 is great for the pink preshots but the dose for a lower yellow, 2.4. Nice to have a plan - if only for awhile, till she changes again. Her numbers overall are encouraging - we just need to keep tweaking her doses.
