Just a thought about home testing

Ok question is there a safe numbing cream that can be used on a cats ear to help make pricking the ear easier on the Cat and Caregiver . It seems to me it could be a win for both . Just a thought to try to help both in the process of all this testing .
I know it sure would have made me feel better .
Any thoughts ?

No there’s no numbing cream, but if you are poking just the very outside edge and not hitting the vein there is very little nerve endings there. My cat doesn’t even react to pokes.

If there were a numbing cream I need some for my knees!

Trouble was a squirmy cat. That "sweet spot", gets awful tiny with a squirmy kitty...

Triple antibiotic ointment ( or double antibiotic ointment) with pain relief has a numbing agent in it.
