Hello everyone, feels like forever! My Internet getting fixed tonight and I snuck away for a little vacation.

So, junior shifted gears the moment we left the vet on 3/16. He's been sorta even keeled except for a few strange #s. I was away 3/23-26. Did not shoot his pumps last nite 130. Surprisingly decent # this morning.

Is the ss looking ok or should I be switching something up here?

How's everyone else doing? I'll be able to really catch up tonight

What looks very interesting is last night's cycle. You didn't shoot, and at +4 he'd gone up to 311, which would be expected and logical. But then 8 hours later, he was only at 316! Can't be positive about what happened in the 8 hours, but his BG wasn't any higher at the end of it. Did he eat at all overnight? His pancreas must have been doing something to regulate his BG....

I see a couple cycles where the 1u is running very long duration, and I'm thinking that maybe .75 might be a good dose, but overall, the numbers don't look bad to me.

I have 2 thoughts...

Could it be the bottle of insulin? (same one since beginning)

Or, I really need to step up and get him off the prescription wet and move on to binky's list since something good seems to be going on inside.

Carl, the food ? pm I've been threatening will hopefully arrive to tonight! Doing this on my phone is not great for in depth conversations
 
what brand is the prescription wet? If it's Purina DM, it isn't terrible. I think 7% carbs? But there are lower carb cheaper foods that may help you see better numbers. I'm partial to FF classics since they worked on Bob. Plus I like the 3oz serving size. He eats the whole can so there's no "leftovers" that he won't want to eat next meal. Most of those are in the 3-5% range.

I know what you mean about the phone and posting here. You'll notice a couple of one-liners from me during the day, and those are "phone sent". Including typos most of the time! I'm a bit more wordy on the normal keyboard. :lol:

Yes on the ourina dm. I called them a while back and they claim 4.5 carbs vs what old binky list says. He eats 6/8 of a 5.5 oz can twice a day (their recommendation for 10.5 lb cat). Will never be possible to feed smaller throughout the day. He's still extremely hungry but then gets over it. It's also 'hunting' season! During the day, no telling what else he eats. I've been contemplating 1 full can twice a day....
