Many Canadians will celebrate Canada Day on Wednesday, July 1st. Others in the USA will celebrate Independence Day on Saturday, the 4th of July. Quite a few of our members will be celebrating these holidays with picnics, barbecues, day trips, fireworks, and the like. Although summer holidays in 2020 will be different than we are used to from previous year, they may still involve time away from FDMB.

If you should need immediate assistance and no one seems to be around in the Lantus, Basaglar, & Levemir ISG, please cross-post for help on Feline Health - (The Main Forum).

    Safety comes first.
If you're unsure, always err on the side of caution!

If you're around during this holiday period, take a peek at the other forums. Someone may be in need of YOUR help or support. Lend a helping hand or simply offer words of encouragement on this forum as well as the others. There's bound to be less traffic on the entire board throughout the week. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Reminder: Plan ahead! If you have any inkling kitty may have to see a vet over the next several days, get them in while you can. Do you need a refill or a script for kitty meds or supplies? Many clinics limit their hours during holiday periods. Waiting for your vet clinic to open after the holiday can seem like you're waiting forever when kitty is sick... and we all know how expensive it gets if you have to visit an ER! :(

Please bump this post through Sunday, July 5th.
Have fun, stay safe, and enjoy the holiday!
    Thank you!

    Thanks, Wendy.

And remember, if your area is having fireworks, your cat may go into hiding from the noise. Keeping your kitty in a room your cat views as "safe" where you can turn on soft music to distract from the outdoor noise may help. If you have a Thundershirt for your cat, remember to outfit kitty. Also, make sure you can find your cat if fireworks and shot time coincide.
