Normally we would say, no insulin, great number. I think this is the case here. But you use Lantus, right? Can you post on Lantus and ask? Because of the shed, it could be different?

Feeding is a good idea.

Hi Julius' Mom, and, of course, you too, maybe not so sweet Julius,

Breathe, honey. Breathe.

You may be one of the lucky parents to be staring in the face of a sputtering pancreas...

And, you just switched him to raw food, right?

Breathe, Julius' Mom. Breathe.

How great is it that you're home testing?! I mean, how literally great...

Please keep us posted. I have never personally stared at a sputtering pancreas; but, I have longed for two...

Much love and will check in on you both kind of countless, hopeful hugs,
Deb and Nikki -- and, Giz, forever dancing in my heart...

Whew, just woke up and saw the 911 and just about had a stroke, then read your post, looked at your spreadsheet and jumped over to Lantus Land to see if you got the answer...lol.

Okay now that I'm breathing again.....GO JULIUS GO!!!!!

I can still remember the day I tested Maxwell and he was 47! Again I just about had a stroke, but he hadn't had insulin either for several days. In fact since that day he has never had another drop of insulin...

Just breathe hon, if he can keep those numbers up for another couple of weeks we will be hauling out the OTJ dancers and helping you pack his bags for The Falls (our phrase for Remission).

But as much as we hope and pray for those nice sweet low green numbers the first few times they pop up can scare us to death, can't they?

Just to clarify this for Julius's Mom: Going into remission we call going on a Honeymoon.
Where do you go for a honeymoon/// Niagra FALLS.

Re: Julius has had no insulin in 24 hrs and he is down to 48

thank you so much all!! I couldn't help but be worried!!his AM # was 92, he didn't eat a lot this morning but I am thinking since his pancreas is working now maybe he feels a little funny?? does that make sense? He did eat some but not what I am used to him eating, I am going to test him again before I go to work....

It is scary to see those lower numbers for the first time!

Just keep track - you want to see numbers between 40- 120 with most of the numbers in the double digit range. Two weeks of numbers in that range = off the juice!
