hi all
so tibbsy is still bouncing it looks like . ... maybe???
He was 369 last night at midnight and 440 today at noon.
i'm hoping to see the numbers start to drop. hope you are all well.
his ketones are still negative, so that's good. his sugar in his urine is high
though, about midway on the strip scale. i'm going to try the new food mixed
with water today and hope he goes for it. i'll be back on later to write to the
new person too. thanks

How much dry food is tibbs still eating? I know you're trying to transition him over, and I hope that goes well for you both :YMHUG:
It should really make a difference in his numbers!

Also, are you feeding him treats of any kind? So far, I've found two "healthy" treats that make Alice's BG rise, in one case, quite dramatically. So check those ingredients! Freeze-dried chicken, shrimp, salmon, etc. are good treats that shouldn't spike tibbs' numbers.

he is still eating some dry . the d/m from the vet and i only just started transitioning him to wet food. when he first came home, he wasn't eating at all so we were just giving him whatever he would eat because he had hepatic lipidosis and not eating was really bad for him the vet said. i tried mel's trick of mixing the pate with gravy and he actually ate it. normally, he won't touch pate so that is great. hopefully this will help his numbers. i also have to get healthy treats for his ear testing times. Right now, he gets "bad" cat cookie treats at those times and that is not helping things i know. where do you get the freeze dried treats that are good for them? thanks so much. nadine
