I figured I was done testing for the night since I didn't think she'd go lower. But something was nagging at me...

+8.5 - 85!!! Fed a small amount of low carb food
+9 - 76 Fed some more low carb food
+9.5 - 79 A bit more low carb food

What is going on here? This is an awfully late peak. My husband had some trouble getting her to eat as much as normal before her shot, so she has mostly been snacking today instead of eating her usual big meal. She did eat earlier, just a bit less. (Maybe 1/3 less). Could this be why? I would have thought that would have caused an early, not a late, drop. Or is it her pancreas? She has gobbled up every bit of food I have given her so far. I don't know what to think about this.

I am thinking that this caould be a fabulous thing!
Could be Mr P. is paying you a visit
especially if you fed Josie and she continued to drop
Dont worry this is a great thing

I was thinking that. Something similar happened once. She went from 93 at 6+ to 80 at +8. But this is a bigger drop, and a lot later. Do I have any reason to be concerned with hypos? I feel bad continuing to test her, but since she is below 80 and she still has insulin in her system, I feel I should test.

So I have gotten readings for 79 twice in a row and I'm starting to think there's something wrong with the glucometer. So I test myself. 77. That seems low, but I guess it's possible, since I I'm normally 90-100 and I haven't eaten an actual meal all day. So I test one of my non-diabetic cats. Poor thing was so confused! 58. I guess the meter's OK, but I am thinking I need to eat something!

insulin should be wearing off around +10, so I think Mr. P is in the house!

*insulin wearing off also means no worry of hypo unless you give another shot, btw.

*just noticed you've fed twice and the number is holding....you've got Mr. P!!!

This is from someone who might actually RECOGNIZE the elusive Mr. P!

Go Josie! Don't let him leave!!!!

OH....MR.P IN YO HOUSE TONIGHT! Make your house cozy so he will stay.
He was at my house last week & would leave late, late at night. At least I know where he is. Can you tell him to get back to my house?

OK, this is awesome information. I was concerned about hypos. Good to know it's unlikely after 10+.

If only he would stay forever... for all of us!
