The day we got the news Jester might be in remission should have been a happy one.
But that was also the day Jester stopped eating regularly. He had been eating pretty well the day before, but just stopped for no reason last Monday.
Yesterday at his visit, he was down another 7 ounces, to 9 lbs. 14 ounces. ( Last summer he weighed 12.5 pounds. )
The vet gave him an appetite stimulant and a shot of B12 yesterday., and said it should start to work in a couple of hours. Five hours later Jester was still just nibbling and I syringe fed him some prescription food. (Blood tests showed nothing out of the ordinary. )
Nothing more all night - a little nibble here and there, but no serious eating.
He asks me for food, but walks away from it.
I don't know what to do anymore. My Bastian has cancer and will be leaving me soon and now this with my Jester.
