I will fill in the rest later but need to know what to do before I make a mistake. He was 111 on 11/25 test, 142 at 4pm on 11/26 and 124 on 9pm 11/26. he was 143 at 9am this morning i gave ONE DROP of Lantus. +4 he was 81 and now +12 he's 162. Do I give insulin? should I not have given any this morning? Meaning am I making him need it by giving it to him???
 
As long as you're testing, I don't think you really can "make him" need insulin

If it's not dropping him too low (and 81 isn't too low) I think you could continue the 1 drop dose for a few days and get some more testing in and see how he does

thanks. ok, that's what I was thinking. I just wanted to make sure before I started. He may be getting sick. He's definitely not his usual self.
