Jeddie update (not great numbers)

I really don't understand how the same dose that can drop him to 39 can leave him in a flat curve all day at 200 +/- 30.

I decided that I would let the .6u settle even through a low of 39 and not reduce (unless that happened more than a few times), but he is not going anywhere. Today's amPS of 181 was the first one under 200 in weeks.

I also decided today to start him back on prozac every day. I had been trying to ween him off on every other day for the last 3 weeks, but he started to pee in the tray under one litter box again and "someone" peed on the front hall rug last week. I think that was Charlotte and not Jeddie because he would have peed on the door itself, not the rug and it didn't look like the door got targeted. (I should get my UV light out and examine it though).

He has been insisting on putting all 34" of himself (that includes his tail, of course) right where I would put my feet at night So I have been sleeping in a weird angle just to accommodate him.

And, yes, I know I need more spot checks. I just keep getting busy doing things and forgetting. (Yes, I know about the cell phone alarm - old dog/new tricks).

I think Jeddie needs more insulin. Are you not willing to go back to .7U? That produced more blues at least. I'm not quite sure why he would have those dips, but reacting to them by changing dose doesn't help either. I keep doing that with Gandalf and it's getting us nowhere too.

Sorry I'm not much help but 200 preshots all the time just seem like not enough insulin. Nadirs would be nice, but the preshots are pretty steady, so I don't think he's experiencing any lows on .6U.

Sorry I can't give you any advice...I always increase, when I should decrease!

I know about the kitty sleeping at your feet. We all sleep diagonally on the bed. Poor DHs feet are always hanging off. The kitty's comfortable and that's what matters, right?

I'm just about to go to .7u again. I wanted to get the spot checks, but I knew he wasn't going very low based on how he was acting (not starving). Even with just two sport checks today I know he didn't go anywhere. pmPS was 254, I think.

Yeah, as long as the cat(s) are comfy.... I have five. Usually there are 1-3 on the bed at night, but I have had 4 at one time.
