Hello from the Falls! Jasper misses everyone in LL and hopes more kitties will join him at the Falls. We have been visiting condos and missed having a place of our own, this is Jasper's first OTJ weekly condo.

Jasper has settled in nicely at the Falls thanks to the warm welcome from Karre, Tucker and Orange who moved to the Falls just prior and prepared a nice place for him. Thanks again to everyone who joined us for Jasper's OTJ party Sept 3rd and our last condo. He has been doing pretty well these first days OTJ, we are both adjusting to much less testing and clock watching. Today he decided to dip into the blue which put me on notice but looks like he was just messing with me  . He has also been running a barf-a-thon today, dispersing a panorama of puke several times already, first had a hairball then rapid reload, scarf and barf. He earned an extra test today so I gave him double his usual test treat yogurt to slow him down him. I really hope it is not something serious.
In other news, Pixie has continued her nightly hairball performance and we discovered she has been faking it. :o Yep, thats right, fake hairballs. One night something looked odd and closer examination revealed fibers that were not hair. Turns out our little Pixie has been chewing up the lining of the couch and ingesting the fibers, then throwing them up in the wee hours every night. Hardly any of it is actually cat hair. Andy is ready to dump the couch, I worry she will then target some more important upholstery. Fake hairballs, what next?!
This time next week, we will be packing for much needed vacation, yay! :-D Our cat sitter was very pleased to hear she does not need to learn to poke and shoot Jasper.

Hope all of LL is having a great day!
Leslie

Thanks for the update! How nice to go on vacation without worrying about shots, huh!! It sounds like he's doing fine.

I would definitely try to cover that couch spot somehow so Pixie doesn't continue eating it. The last thing you need is a blockage or something! What a little devil! They are always getting into something.

Hugs,
Melanie & Racci

Jasper - sounds like a FUN time at the Falls! You're so lucky!

I gotta ask - what's Jasper's 'P' name? I see 'Pixie, Pearl and Pepper'....did he not get P'd on? :-D

BIG HUG!

Hi guys, what a great update! So glad to hear all is well, other then the puking and fake hairballs :o I know you guys are going to enjoy your vacation, it is much needed I'm sure!

Ahh,

My day would not have been complete without the 'Panorama of Puke' Update!!! I can`t stop laughing!!! Seriously rolling on the floor lmao!!! Just what I needed!! Thaaaaaank Youuuuuu!!

What do you feed Jasper? Over in the forest where we are searching blindly for the path leading to the falls, there seems to be an issue that needs to be resolved involving Food. So I just wondered...

Looking forward to the Fursday Condos, awesome.

Faux pukus. I love it.

I can't put down my sheepskin pelt for the same reason. She gives it a bath . I had a cat in the past who loved to sleep on the wool
but didn't lick it like this.

I really liked the rapid reload .

I want to not need a substitute shooter either. I've got less than 4 months until we go somewhere. Hope to join you at the falls
before that deadline. ;-)

Jasper's barf-a-thon seems to be finished, no eruptions for the past few hours :-D . Now I need to figure out how to cover up the underside and back of the couch to keep Pixie from eating it all up.

Lyresa, Jasper does get P'd ;-) We adopted Jasper and Pixie first, adopted the kittens couple years later. We tried several names for the kittens but the P names stuck.

Alexa, we feed FF Classic pate salmon and shrimp. Our cats graze, they wont eat on schedule or on command and we needed a food they can all can eat. Pixie is allergic to chicken and we avoided wheat gluten which really limited the options. We tried the Beef Classic, unfortunately Pepper throws up that right up. That left one "flavor" they could all eat and keep down. I read that fish not good for cats, so after vacation we are going to try the beef again and look for other foods to try. Until then its FF Classic Pate Salmon & Shrimp. Also his test treat is 1/8 tsp plain greek yogurt.

Rhiannon, I understand about vacation sitters, we had the same worry and are extremely grateful we wont have to work that after all. Our sitter was quite willing to shoot, but unsure if she knows how to test, she can only come twice a day at most, the cats hide when she comes, and I think it would be hard.

Glad to hear Jasper is doing well and he finally quit throwing up. Hope you find a way to keep Pixie from eating more couch fibers.

Awesome report on Jasper! So glad to hear that things are well in Jasper land!

Thanks so much for sending me a link for my profile. YOU ROCK!!! Ella also sends you lot's of hugs for all of your visits :YMHUG:

Sounds like lots of excitement at your house with fake hairballs and a puke-a-thon! I hope all is well, soon.

Have fun on vacation!!!!

Sweet dreams -

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

What a day and what a report! Faux pukus - good one, Rhiannon!

Molly eats strings off blanket fringe and anything she can scratch off the couch. Not good - better get that covered up, a blockage would be bad, poor thing.

Yay for Jasper! And what a relief for your vacation!

Hi Leslie, congratulations on Jasper's 1st week OTJ and glad he is doing so well. Oh wow on Pixie and the things they injest. I had a cat that would eat plastic bags! Have a wonderful vacation and I bet your catsitter is so happy she doesn't have to poke. Come back and tell us all about your vacation and on Jasper and Pixie. Hugs.
