Jasmine is Gone

After a trip to the vet in the morning - we had Jasmine put to sleep on Saturday night . She had not been doing too good for the last couple weeks and her health declined rapidly Saturday. The look in her eyes that night told me she was ready to go. She was almost 16 yrs old and had a long life, her last 4 1/2 years with diabetes. My husband said she died very peacefully in his arms. We buried her in her favorite spot. She was the best cat we've ever had and will be missed by our whole family. My whole body feels heavy and I am so sad. May she rest in peace.


Although haven't been a regular on here I want to thank everyone who has helped me. I learned so much and was able to take such good care of her because of this board.
 
I am so so very sorry. It is heartbreaking. I am glad she was able to have so many wonderful, loving years with you. She will rest happier because of it.
 
Beth, I was just reading the whole thread and then got to your last one......my deepest sympathy on the loss of your precious Jasmine.

I'm so very sorry. Jasmine sounds like a brave and most special cat. Please know she will always own her place in your heart.

I'm so sorry that you had to say goodbye to your sweet Jasmine - it's the most loving gift we can give but the most difficult. They leave such a hole in our lives and hearts when they leave us.

My heart goes out to you in your sadness - I'm sending many comforting prayers your way - remember all the wonderful memories and love you shared - that's the precious gift she has left with you.
