? January 13, 2017 Shaak PMPS 303, scared but moving forward.

In an hour I will be giving Shaak 1 unit of insulin. I started with .25, then .5, now I will take a chance and go with one full unit. I have been scared to do it because I remember the times she went very low on one unit and her BG is not as high as it used to be when taking 1 unit. I just am not up on shooting numbers since she was in remission, I feel afraid she will go low easier based on her normal low numbers OTJ of 55-67.

I just want to hear that it is a good plan basically and also to ask if anyone will be up tonight if she goes low, I of course know what to do if she does go low but, I am always scared to be alone when it happens.

Cathie, I will be up for a little while. Any reason why you're going from .5 to 1U, instead of.75?

I did not get to give Shaak her shot last night. It was for family reasons that I don't feel comfortable talking about . I am going to plan on .75 unit tonight. I thank you for suggesting I go with that. @Squalliesmom .
