Hmm... But there's good news too -- she's gained a few ounces (YAY!) and her BUN is down to 53 from 113! YAY! Her creatinine is down too... from 3.5 to 2.8.

ANybody dealt with pancreatitis? Any advice? There's a lot of info on the Web, but you can also find Web pages that insist Elvis lives in Kalamazoo.

She can only eat turkey these days, so maybe I'll get a turkey breast and puree it for her... your thoughts are most welcome, with thanks from me and my preciousest of preciousnesses!

Poor Janie. Treatment: fluids, pain meds, anti nausea meds, maybe antibiotics. They can get pretty sick and may have to be hospitalized. Keep on eating, Janie! Donna

Poor Janie.

Just a reminder that breast meat alone is not complete nutritionally for a cat. But I am sure you already know about calcium and Taurine and so forth.

You guys are just the best. Will read up now.

Most of you probably know that I made her food for a couple years (yes, with all the supplements) - but when her kidneys started getting tired and I couldn't get phosphorous numbers from Jennie-O or Purdue, I switched her gradually to Wellness turkey. She and her appetite have been a little depressed for a couple days, so I bought some turkey breast cutlet to poach (as opposed to poaching some turkey to sell, ha ha) and entice her to eat.

She licked up a little Chobani plain Greek yogurt quite excitedly this morning, and she's eating her Wellness again, but I think I'll garnish it with some poached turkey. I imagine the anti-nausea shot will wear off soon -- it's been 24 hours -- and I don't know what to expect, so with that, I'm following the links to read up now.

Thanks, my friends -- we'll keep you posted.

Oops - sorry, my dear Dian - her numbers have been gorgeous for months now -- usually 230-270 PS, around 70 at +6. Go Janie!
