Looks like it may be a pokey day.

Haven't had many greens to shoot lately, and I think this is the lowest I've shot. And it was falling; yesterday I shot a falling number and then it rose and he cruised higher. But today Felix vomited his breakfast about fifteen minutes after AMPS. I'm going to test and feed him again at +1, and paws crossed his tummy is settled. He's happy and purry (like his friend Furball), and he doesn't seem nauseated.

He was willing to eat. Now he's headed to the sunny window seat.

He vomited his +1 food, but ate a little again afterward.

+2=44 Wouldn't lap up Chick Magnet gravy at first, but I put a few EVO kibbles in it and he ate those and licked some gravy.

+2.5=63 A bit more gravy and EVO. He's hungry, but I'm limiting him until I'm confident his BG is staying up and his snacks are staying down.

ETA: Does anyone know whether slippery elm bark slows down absorption of carbs?

I remember reading it could lower blood sugar and human diabetics should be cautious.
I didn't notice anything with Yum.

Thank you! Since he seems to be keeping food down this afternoon, I think I'll hold off on the SEB for now while he's in such low numbers. Maybe I'll give him some at bed time and again early in the morning to try and prevent the morning vomiting.

I'm purrmoted! I'm purrmoted! You do mean promoted to Chef, not Chief, right, Rusty? I've been purrfecting my Blue Cheese Croutons for the Blue Moon party (blue cheese was China's idea--isn't she smart?!). Did you see I got to have some crunchy kibbles today? Now I know where Momma's been hiding the kibble--near the shark nets.
