Pumbaa

While trying to transition Pumbaa (sugar-baby) and Larry (civilian and carb addict) to a raw diet, I read on catinfo.org about sprinkling Parmesan cheese on their food to entice them to eat. It worked better than great here, without having to order any other supplements that you can't find in a grocery store!
Every time I put low-carb high-protein food down now, Pumbaa will eat some, but if I sprinkle Parmesan on the top, he pigs out! Larry likes the parmesan, too, but not like Pumbaa does! This is a good thing since Pumbaa needs to gain some weight back, and because I would like him to eat his biggest meal while I am injecting the Lantus, even if he grazes slightly the rest of the day.
You all may think it's weird, but I would truly suggest this for any finicky cat from the results I have seen!
I love Parmesan, too, and you can get a zero carbs, 2.5 lbs, grated, imported Parmesan by Messana, at Costco for about $9, I think. I used to buy this just for my pleasure (added to popcorn and pasta it is wonderful), and it would last for ages. Not any more! *LOL*
