It's offical! Cassie is OTJ!

Shhh! Don't tell Cassie but...

I think we're OTJ! As of 3:00 today, it's been 15 days since he's had a shot. He's generally stayed below 110, with a couple of bumps up around 120, all followed by a constipation barf/poop fest. I'm paranoid. I'm not going to tell him (or admit to myself) he's OTJ 'till it's been another week. Then I'll re-arrange food times so I don't have to get up at 3am. Right now I'm only checking twice a day; another week and I'll try once a day for a while.

His SS isn't up to date; I'll try to remember to bring it in tomorrow.

We'll have been sugar-dancing 3 1/2 years at the end of the month. It's been quite a ride.

(Now just hoping Cass doesn't steal my phone and look up the forum while I'm sleeping....)
 
We promise not to say a word to Cass...lol but WELCOME TO THE FALLS, may your stay be eternal.

Yes, sounds like you have TWS (Testing Withdrawal Syndrome). After 3.5 years, what else could you expect.
 
Thanks, guys. I got really excited over break when he went 9 days; trying not to get as excited this time. I still have an unopened bottle of Prozinc in the fridge; his last bottle has now lasted over a year (started 1/15/14). We're gonna have a BIG party next week, though. And I'll really enjoy NOT getting up at 3 am.
 
This is such wonderful news, Lisa, and couldn't happen to a more deserving bean. I think 3.5 years might be a record on the forum! You have worked so hard and tried so many things with Cassie and you never gave up. Congratulations many times over!
 
WOW! This is incredible! Lisa, congratulations to you and Cass! Its awesome when any kitty goes off the juice, but after 3.5 years....that's inspiring. :joyful:
 
I think we can call it official now. It's been 21 days and he's doing great. I even managed to sleep past 3 am this morning. (The cats didn't get me up--my bladder did; but not until 4.)

No, the SS isn't updated. :P
 
And I hope you never have to update a spreadsheet again! :woot: :otj: :D

Hi Lisa - it's been a long time since I checked in on everyone. HOW EXCITING!!! Yeah Cassie!!! :D:otj::D Not sure where the horn blowing confetti is... I LOVE THAT ... but envision that it's here. Wow - after what, three years? Your patience and perseverance have been the key, since we know kitties do things ON THEIR OWN schedules!!!
