The Adoption is Complete and Sir Chewy is Officially Mine!

I adopted Chewy because I like him and know that I will provide him a safe and loving home. But, I also think he is "suppose" to be mine. It is due to Kitty and her diabetes that Chewy and I were united. At the time that Chewy came into my home as a foster, Kitty seemed fine. I had no idea she had so many underlying health problems. I know that Kitty will not survive for long, though I will do my best to keep her alive and kicking for as long as possible. But, the reality is she is not well. I believe in fate, and I think Chewy was brought to me to keep me in the Diabetic Cat world...maybe to keep my interest, so maybe I can help others through my experience. For whatever reason, I just felt like Chewy was meant to be mine and through him, Kitty will always live.

A Special Thanks to Venita and DCIN for saving Chewy. The services that are provided by Venita and her group are invaluable to diabetic cats. It is hard to imagine that without DCIN, Chewy probably would have been euthanized immediately due to his diabetes. So, a BIG THANKS to DCIN!

So, I am HAPPY today that my CRAZY Self has added another CAT to my family! Sir Chewy, Welcome Home! I LOVE YOU!

When Saint Sue gets back we will have an OTJ party. He has been off insulin for four weeks!

Congratulations Kim!
I don't think anyone who knows you doubted this outcome! From the first, "isn't he adorable!" to "he's sleeping with Kitty!" did any of us think he was going anywhere! and yes, hard not to see the connection to Kitty.
Nancy ....

I've always felt that animals kinda wander into your life when you need them, I'm sure he is just so grateful and loving....I mean, not only did you give him a home-you made him feel better!

Congratulations to you both, I believe in fate too and will agree that this was meant to be.

He is one handsome orinch man (be still my heart).

I have tears for your wonderful Miss Kitty. She has been such a trooper and you have done such wonders with her diabetes. There could never be a better Mom for her- you have given her the best life possible.

And I have smiles for Chewy. Yes, I think he came to you for a reason. It was only fair that you get an "easy" diabetic kitty, even though you knew exactly what to do. And I know he will help you when Kitty is ready to fly. She obviously worked it that way!
